Another Danish pike on the Quick Bait Giant. This one was caught by the Danish Distributor of Quick Bait some weeks ago.

But it was the first pike on color G-001 on Furesøen to Morten Ramsgaard.

We fishing maniacs know how understanding and patient our partners need to be. For Maria it’s different… A new “fishing-crazy” boyfriend where the door opener for Maria, she doesn’t need to try understand him, se go with him! The first time she went fishing alone she caught a pike and got immediately hooked for fishing, here passion was born! A lot of time on the water has passed since here first pike and Maria is today a skilled angler with both soft- and hard baits. She likes to try out different lures and techniques to find the right method and lure for the day and more than 10 hours on the water is just a normal fishing day. Close to her hometown Klein Rogahn, Germany, there are a lot of lakes, channels and rivers, and everyone has its own character. Marias favorite fish are pike and perch, but she's has also had great success with zander fishing. Water is truly here element and besides fishing she loves sailing, diving and surfing.

Together with her boyfriend she started a Team called “Deadly Baits” (www.deadly-baits.com) with a lot of other fanatic anglers. The team is still growing and as Maria says “I love to see that the interest for modern fishing is growing more and more, and also for women! I like to show the people that fishing is much more than just catching a big fish. It’s about friendship, time together and nature, when people understand this, then they also understand the true passion for sport fishing." We welcome Maria aboard Team Westin!

Lars Öhman – joins Team Westin!

The man with 127 pikes over 10 kilos on his conscience! In the beginning of his successfully fishing-carrier he got an instant interest for pikes and slowly but surely the fascination for the larger individuals increased.

He caught his first pike over 10 kilos in 1996 and that’s when it all started… he lost it all! Lars decided to dedicate his life for hunting down those brutal and impressive big pikes. In 2001 he started jerkbait-fishing and together with his friends they experienced great fishing in shallow lakes. Hundreds and hundreds of pikes later Lars got tired of it and started to fish in deeper lakes using longer rods, softlures and crank baits.

Today his favorite method is spin or trolling in unexplored pike-waters. To this date he caught 127 pikes over 10 kilos where top three are monsters over 14 kilos! With that in mind we can also add that Lars is only 34 years old, and still going strong…

Lars belongs to the top segment of pike anglers in Sweden. Pikes swear upon him and when he throws out that big lure in the water it’s directly aimed for the big ones. With the risk of being too cocky we are extremely proud to have “probably the best pike-angler in the world” aboard, most welcome!
