Former Carp Fishing World Champion and World Carp Classic winner Rob Tough is the latest high-profile angler to join the ever-expanding Elite Fishing Team of top protective eyewear brand Wiley X.
Rob will be working closely with the rest of the Elite Fishing Team and the staff at Wiley X EMEA headquarters in Denmark on product promotion and development over the years to come.
“First of all I would like to express how honoured and flattered I am to be able to represent Wiley X and to be a part of its Elite Fishing Team.”, explained Rob.
“I believe Wiley X to be at the forefront of sporting eyewear offering the best quality products for anglers in the varying climate in which we pursue our dreams.”
Rob Tough is already familiar with the quality of Wiley X eyewear and especially the polarized filter the brand uses, as he has been wearing the eyewear for his fishing for years. The highly decorated carp angler looks forward to benefitting from what the brand offers for many years in the future too.
“I believe the range of polarized lenses and smartly designed frames are second to none in the sporting market. I look forward to wearing my Wiley X glasses, which I know will optimise my view in the array of light conditions I will encounter, be it the glaring sunshine in my face or in the diminishing light of dusk. I trust the Wiley X brand to give me that undoubted edge that others do not have.”
Thomas Wæver, Wiley X EMEA Vice President is delighted to have Rob on board and eager to start work with him.
“Signing Rob to our Elite Fishing Team is yet another great signing for us, as Rob is highly respected within the carp society,” said Thomas.
“His knowledge and passion for fishing is second to none and as a sign of his dedication, Rob has only missed 6 World Carp Classic competitions over the last 17 years.”
As a brand on the move, Wiley X will continue to sign and work closely together with the best of the best in the fishing world.
Thomas concludes: “Rob will for sure be able to spread the word about Wiley X polarized eyewear even deeper into the carp angling society throughout all of Europe. I’m looking forward to have Rob’s input regarding our current eyewear line and to learn from him for future Wiley X projects”.
